Owned by Michelin-starred chef Richard Corrigan, Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill has been a cornerstone of London’s dining scene since 1916 — renowned for its celebration of the finest seafood and the best of British produce. With more than a century of heritage to honour, and a new era of guests to inspire, Bentley’s sought to evolve its visual and editorial storytelling while staying true to its deeply rooted identity.

We were appointed to redesign the menu and create a full content bank — spanning imagery for social media, website, and printed collateral — all crafted to reflect the restaurant’s exceptional quality, provenance, and enduring spirit.

THE TRANSFORMATION

At Bentley’s, every oyster, every fish, and every plate has a story — from the icy waters they’re sourced from to the care with which they’re prepared. Our mission was to capture this story visually and editorially: combining the freshness of the seafood, the craftsmanship of the kitchen, and the legacy of Bentley’s itself into every touchpoint.

Rather than reinventing the brand, our approach focused on amplifying what made Bentley’s iconic — creating content and materials that felt as timeless as the restaurant, while bringing a modern elegance to the forefront. Every piece of work needed to feel authentic, confident, and quietly luxurious — much like Bentley’s itself.

OUR APPROACH

We immersed ourselves in Bentley’s rich history and day-to-day operations to shape a content and design system that could serve immediate needs and provide a strong platform for future marketing.

Scope of work:

Menu Redesign
Redesigned the restaurant’s menus to align with the brand’s elevated yet approachable tone — balancing heritage typography with contemporary touches, and ensuring the quality of the ingredients and provenance were the heroes of the narrative.

Content Creation
Produced a full suite of brand photography — from the theatre of oyster shucking to the fine detail of plated dishes — capturing the vibrancy, freshness, and authenticity of Bentley’s offering.

Social Media & Website Content Bank
Developed an extensive library of imagery, styled shoots, and environmental captures to support seasonal campaigns, social media storytelling, website updates, and email marketing.

Visual Storytelling & Art Direction
Created a distinctive art direction framework that combined natural light, raw textures, and refined compositions — highlighting the craft, care, and heritage that define the Bentley’s experience.

Collateral Design
Designed supporting materials for in-house guest touchpoints, from wine lists to event collateral, all woven seamlessly into the refreshed visual language.

Today, Bentley’s continues to thrive not only as a historic institution, but as a vibrant, evolving brand — one that honours its past while confidently looking to the future. With a renewed visual identity and versatile content ecosystem, it remains one of London's most beloved destinations for seafood, storytelling, and soul.
