Owned by London + Regional, The Mole Resort represented an ambitious transformation: evolving a traditional countryside manor house hotel into a 125-acre lifestyle resort with luxury lodges, full F&B offering, and an expansive activity program.
Having previously worked with L+R on The Trafalgar St. James and Strand Palace Hotel, we were selected to lead this project based on our proven ability to reposition heritage properties for a modern audience — balancing creativity with commercial impact.
We were brought in to take over from a previous agency and deliver a full strategic and creative rollout — building a new identity, digital presence, and route to market, while mentoring internal teams along the way.
THE TRANSFORMATION
Spanning 125 acres of Devonshire countryside, The Mole Resort is a bold new hospitality concept — part luxury lodge escape, part activity-led resort, all rooted in modern rural living. With over 40 on-site activities, a central manor house hotel, 58 newly built lodges, and a focus on elevated, family- and dog-friendly experiences, the project required more than just a rebrand — it needed a full-scale repositioning. For us, as a full-service marketing agency, this was an opportunity to bring every discipline into play: from brand and storytelling, to digital infrastructure, PR, CRM, and performance. The scale, ambition, and hybrid nature of the resort made it an ideal canvas for a holistic, joined-up marketing approach — building not just a brand, but a business with long-term momentum.

The Mole Resort launched successfully into the UK lifestyle resort market with a bold, confident identity and a highly targeted campaign strategy. Within four months, over £1 million in business was already on the books, with strong early occupancy and brand traction.
The resort now stands as a flagship example of how a traditional hotel asset can be repositioned into a modern, experience-led hospitality brand — supported by smart infrastructure, clear storytelling, and a guest-first approach.
